The 41st annual Reino Keski-Salmi Loppet at the Larch Hills Nordic Society near Salmon Arm needs radio-support volunteers on January 18, 2025.
Volunteers will be stationed (transported by ski patrol snowmobile) around the ski course to provide radio support for aid stations, etc.
Cold weather clothing and footwear is a requirement, as is a 2m (or dual-band) handheld transceiver with an extra battery.

Assisting at the Winter Carnival Parade is good fun and a critical club public service event. Our participation creates great PR for the club. A new parade route means a large number of volunteers will be really helpful this year.
For those new to the club we help ensure parade participants get to the right spot in the staging area and leave to join the parade in the right order. The only equipment needed is a 2m handheld with a charged battery.
Please mark the February 8, 2024 date in your calendar.

NORAC members, family and friends will be participating in Winter Field Day on Saturday January 25, 2025.
As in previous years, we will using the Kin Beach shelter. We will try to enclose it as much as possible with tarps and add a couple of propane heaters to make it as comfortable as possible.
We will be operating on Saturday only from approximately 9:00 - 3:00 local time. Antenna setup will take place at 9:00.
Everything will be provided including the club triplexer, however, if you wish to try out your radio, please bring it along.
Think of this event as a more challenging version of summer Field Day as it takes place in the middle of winter.
Expanded objectives this year make for even more fun. Please find the event rules and objectives here.
